NEW! 2026 APRO Advocacy Partners Program
Building on the success of Legislative Fellowships, APRO is proud to offer an additional opportunity to amplify your team’s voice and reach in Washington, D.C.
APRO’s Advocacy Partners Program is a one-time opportunity to send an additional, qualified rent-to-own professional to APRO’s Annual Legislative Conference. This is a chance to add an additional attendee to your advocacy team and is designed for companies to participate for the first time in the last five years or send an additional person along with their annual delegation to D.C. The goal is to encourage broad industry representation on Capitol Hill, educating legislators about the critical economic impact RTO businesses have on local communities.
Advocacy Partners Details
Each stipend covers the cost of one additional attendee beyond your company’s current delegation. For example, if your company sent two team members to the Legislative Conference last year, this award allows you to send those same team members plus one more team member in 2026. APRO will provide the organization with a one-time $1,500 stipend to help defray the costs of attending; APRO will not coordinate hotel or travel for the additional attendee.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Must work for an APRO dealer member company
- Must have been in the RTO industry for more than 15 years
- Must not have attended Legislative Conference in the past five years
- Must be an additional attendee beyond your company’s existing delegation
- Must agree to complete advocacy training
- Must agree to actively participate and share information when returning home
- Must submit a complete, signed application verifying eligibility
Interested candidates are required to submit a short online application no later than January 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM CT. Applicants will be notified of their selection by January 30, 2026.
Note: If you’re sending a first-time attendee with 15 years or less in the RTO industry, please apply instead for the Legislative Fellowship Program.
