Florida Rental Dealer’s Association (FRDA) Announces New President, Paul Metivier
The Florida Rental Dealer’s Association (FRDA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Paul Metivier as its new president. Metivier is the vice president of operations at Impact RTO (Rent-A-Center ’s largest franchise operation of 75 locations) headquartered in Tampa, FL. In the past three years, Metivier helped guide Impact RTO to two Eagle Awards, the prestigious award given to Rent-A-Center’s top franchisee. He enjoys developing coworkers to be spirited about serving customers, while at the same time, demonstrating a passion for serving this industry.
He has been an advocate of the rent-to-own industry at both the state-level in Florida and the national-level with APRO’s Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. In addition to serving on FRDA’s Board of Directors for 11 years, Metivier participates at several industry events and has led breakout sessions with both APRO and TRIB.
Metivier has strong beliefs in the purpose of rent-to-own and loves working in an industry that says, “YES” to a customer who is mostly told, “NO.” Outgoing FRDA President, Sharon Tomaszewski is excited that her successor accepted this opportunity and for what it means to FRDA’s future. Tomaszewski says, “Paul is a natural for this position. He has the right mix of enthusiasm, knowledge, and vision to lead FRDA. As a board member, he contributed valuable insight and positive energy to our efforts, and he has proven that he is the right person to continue and advance FRDA’s mission.” Tomaszewski served as FRDA’s President since 2012, and she will continue to serve as a board member.
Metivier is also passionate and loves to spend time with his family. He is a proud husband to his wife Luisa, and father of 14-year old twin boys. He loves to travel, sports, exercising, and having conversations with interesting people. He is excited to be FRDA’s new president and is fully committed to its continued success.
