Rent One Kicks Off 2018 Delivery Tech Rodeo

Rent One kicked off its nine-series Delivery Tech Rodeo with its Region 8 competitors in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Rent One kicked off its nine-series Delivery Tech Rodeo on Wednesday, August 29, in Ashtabula, Ohio. Five teams consisting of delivery technicians from the company’s Region 8 met for a day of training, friendly competition for the title of regional winners and the chance to advance to the finals.

“The DT Rodeo is a fun way to set, train and reinforce standards of our Delivery Technicians role,” says Rent One Director of Training and Development Angie Brubaker. “Throughout the day, these guys and girls get to show off and improve their skills!”

This year’s hands-on competition includes events such as Rent One trivia, delivery and return of products and customer service calls. The first-place winners for region 8 are Justin Myers from store 105 in St. Clairsville, Ohio; and Ralph Wells from store 104 in Ashtabula, Ohio.

All participants received a carry-all clipboard storage box, LED headlamp, YETI cups and more. The first-place winners were awarded a Rent One 2018 DT Rodeo Region trophy and the team of Myers and Wells will go on to compete in the company-wide DT Rodeo finals on October 17 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

  • September 12: Carmi, Illinois, Region 4
  • September 13: Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Regions 1 and 2
  • September 18: Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Region 3
  • September 19: Paragould, Arkansas, Regions 5 and 6
  • September 20: Jackson, Tennessee, Region 7
  • September 25: Jefferson City, Missouri, Region 10
  • September 26: Emporia, Kansas, Region 9
  • September 27: Tulsa, Oklahoma, Region 11

The winners from the regional competitions will go on to compete in the DT Rodeo finals on October 17 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
