Congressman Brad Wenstrup (Ohio, District 2) visited the Rent-2-Own store in Georgetown, Ohio last week. Mike Tissot, president of Countryside Rentals, the parent company of Rent-2-Own, hosted the visit as part of APRO’s In-Store Legislative Conference initiative, which has been in the works for most of 2016.

Congressman Wenstrup met with Tissot and Rent-2-Own communications manager, Jessica Mahon and discussed several issues. The trio went over the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the effect it has on small businesses and how to manage renewals, the power of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the impending wage-and-hour changes that can affect RTO businesses.

Congressman Wenstrup expressed his continued support of small businesses, continues to see the value in the rent-to-own transaction as well as shared his goal to create a stair step plan to help the working community get off of public assistance.
