Representatives from the Florida Rental Dealers Association were in Tallahassee on Wednesday, April 4th, for FRDA’s annual legislative conference.
Attendees met with over 20 state senators and representatives throughout the day after a morning briefing with their lobbyist. “It was a very positive and productive day,” says Sharon Tomaszewski, FRDA’s President. “With no fires to put out this year, we were able to continue to educate legislators on our industry and our businesses, and we were also able to address our support, or concern, on several active bills that would have a direct impact on our business and business practices. Being able to speak about these bills in person with our elected officials and explain how their vote would directly affect us was very powerful.”
Nine representatives from FRDA attended the conference this year. Tomaszewski appreciates each attendee for taking the time to make this trip and for the great effort everyone made in representing the best interests of the FRDA membership in all of the meetings that took place.
