APRO encourages all our members to join their state rent-to-own associations.
State associations played a key role in developing positive state laws that protect and promote a safe, legal business environment for rent-to-own. Every year, state legislatures propose more than 25 bills that directly affect the RTO transaction. Strong state associations are necessary to help monitor these potential threats and help educate their state lawmakers about the benefits of our industry.
Many state organizations host meetings throughout the year. These meetings offer:
- Opportunities to network with neighboring rental dealers and their associates, and
- Education to members about current industry issues.
