APRO Associate Members Rivero, Gordimer & Company won the Small Business of the Year in the 21-50 employee category at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce 38th Annual Small Business of the Year Awards held on September 13. The ceremony highlights the positive impact of small businesses in the Tampa Bay area, while celebrating the achievements of local leaders and businesses.
The Small Business of the Year award recognizes small businesses that exemplify excellence in the areas of operational management, community involvement, and ethical business practices. This year, there were over 450 nominations and applicants across all categories.
“Our firm is honored to be nominated, survive several cuts and ultimately win this award,” says Mike Helton, CPA at Rivero, Gordimer & Company P.A. “Our team has worked hard to improve our processes, management, IT security and quality service to our clients. Mike Lewis
Mike Lewis is a Premier Rental Purchase franchisee with multiple stores and currently serves as Vice President of Operations. With 33 years of experience in the rent-to-own industry, he has spent the past 20 years working closely with franchisee owners and previously spent 12 years in Corporate RTO, gaining a strong foundation in the business.
For the past five years, Mike has been sharing his knowledge by teaching managers and franchisees at the company’s Training Center.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, kids, and grandkids, and appreciates the simple things in life – especially riding his Harley Davidson with the sun on his face. If you know, you know!
