Rent One Kicks Off 2017 Delivery Tech Rodeo

Rent One kicked off its seven-series Delivery Tech Rodeo on August 30 in Ashtabula, Ohio (Rent One’s region 8). Fifteen delivery technicians met for a day of training, friendly competition for the title of regional winners and the chance to advance to the finals. This year’s hands-on competition includes six core events: Rent One trivia, delivery and return of products, customer service calls, backing up a vehicle, vehicle inspection and a written driver’s test similar to the test administered by a department of motor vehicles. The first-place winners for region 8 are Mickey Holmes and Miguel Pabon from Rent One store 101 in Erie, Pennsylvania. Second place went to Bob Carrera and Ted Bower from store 108 in Warren, Ohio, and third place went to Jim Clark and Corey Basford from store 102 in Erie, Pennsylvania. All participants received a Gerber Suspension Multi-Plier Kit and first-place winners were awarded a Rent One 2017 DT Rodeo Region Champion belt buckle. The first-place team of Holmes and Pabon will go on to compete in the company-wide DT Rodeo finals on October 17 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
