MRDA 2017 Annual Meeting

The Missouri Rental Dealers Association held their 2017 Annual Meeting on April 11th in Columbia, Missouri. MRDA President John Cleek, Jr. recognized state association officers and board members for their service the past two years on the board. National RTO Dan Cole and MRDA Board Member provided a PAC Fund update followed by a legislative update provided by MRDA lobbyist Jim Durham. Attendees were informed about the upcoming Fuse 2017: APRO’s National RTO Convention in Galveston, TX and about the upcoming Heartland of America Trade Show taking place at the Lake of the Ozarks on June 27 -29th. APRO’s Executive Director Bill Keese was recognized  as the next two upcoming events will be two of the last he will attend. MRDA acknowledged all his efforts to the industry and to MRDA especially. Keynote Ed Winn APRO’s Legal Counsel was unable to attend the meeting due to mechanical issues with his flight so MRDA improvised and held a productive roundtable discussion. Topics included: new “hot” products, marketing and advertising, how to improve your margins, recruiting, how to get paid out back on the books, ever changing RTO world and online competition and social media. MRDA President John Cleek, Jr. served as the moderator along with an expert panel of leaders including Tiger Cleek, Dan Cole, Mark Winsdor, Macy Mitchell, Mary Hazel and Kevin Hollaway. MRDA members were attended the annual meeting at no cost and were provided with a complimentary lunch. The MRDA annual business meeting followed where they elected the new slate of officers and board members to serve for 2017 – 2019.
