Latest RTOHQ: The Magazine Nobody Gets Voted Off APRO Island

Cover_400px_RTOHQJF17The January-February issue of RTOHQ: The Magazine is your invitation to attend Fuse 2017: APRO’s National Rent-to-Own Convention & Trade Show, May 9-11 on Galveston Island. Check out our 12-page feature on APRO’s big event and then register as soon as possible. Fuse 2017 will be the perfect way to defrost from winter and enjoy some island time.

Also in this issue, Ed Winn III, APRO’s general counsel, reviews the new Consumer Review Freedom Act, which goes into effect this month. It gives consumers the right to vent at full force, but Winn advises that attempting to control them will just lead to trouble.

Back in the day, RTO businesses were often audited by the Internal Revenue Service. Not so much anymore, but it still occurs. In our feature “Keep Calm and Keep Your Receipts,” we report on one rental dealer’s audit experience.

In our “Now & Then” series, Kristen Card profiles Chad Fosdick, a Nebraska native who has finally found his push and passions, and Dave Egan, a rent-to-own legend who recounts the industry’s early struggles and the strategies that saved it.
