Furniture and Bedding Expo Arrives in Sin City
Las Vegas, NV – On August 29th, AVB/BrandSource faithful will once again descend upon the Nevada desert for a three-day convention at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. The expo will showcase the latest exhibits and deals in furniture and bedding while treating members to a variety of guest lecturers and activities. Attendees will also be able to try their luck at several contests and drawings that feature exciting prizes including a Polaris Razor off-road vehicle as well as a trip to a South Pacific island. This year’s convention is two-fold in its approach in that it emphasizes mattress and bedding on the opening day while moving on to furniture the next day. Along the way, members will be kept busy with a bevy of social activities that will make their time in Las Vegas a memorable one.
On Day One of the convention, BrandSource members will attend a series of informative seminars such as “How to Run a High Impact Promotion” by Phil Gutsell, owner of the consulting firm Gutsell & Associates, the “Best of the Best” practice luncheon by BrandSource consultant Ray Allegrezza, and “Executive In-Sight Panel” by Bill West, Serta’s chief sales officer, and Steve Rusing, senior vice president of national accounts at Sealy. After the lectures conclude, attendees will have an opportunity to take advantage of a multitude of great deals on mattresses and bedding at “The Stampede”. As an added attraction, members attending the convention will be able to test out Sealy’s new private label line of mattresses.
On Day Two, the convention switches gears and offers educational seminars pertaining to furniture. Mike Allen, executive vice president of Home Furnishings, will be on hand to speak to members. On the last day, members will participate in a furniture treasure hunt, where they can search for more great deals as the convention wraps up. Allen predicts yet another successful outing in Las Vegas for BrandSource members. “This month’s convention is sure to be our best one yet. The combination of informative lectures and fantastic deals and prizes ensures all members will go home a winner,” he says.
