The last day of convention, also APRO’s RTO Education Day, was Thursday, May 12th. The Education Day sessions were organized into separate tracks for store-level employees, owners/upper management and multi-track sessions suitable for everyone.
Attendees shuffled into the Northern Kentucky Ballroom early Thursday morning as they awaited this year’s opening session, The O’Shea Report: Teamwork 180 presented by the very engaging and hilarious Tim and Kris O’Shea. The one-hour session covered a wide range of work related issues but mostly focused on the dynamics of modern teamwork. The O’Shea Report was the perfect way to kick off the day as the entire room radiated laughs and amusement.
The remainder of RTO Education Day consisted of three one-hour breakout sessions that gave attendees a vast variety of topics and levels to choose from. Highlights included a unique opportunity to learn about the RTO business across pond from BrightHouse UK’s CEO, Leo McKee and Director of Buying, Hugh Harvey. APRO’s very own General Counsel, Ed Winn, offered two sessions of RTO Legal Updates, giving everyone a chance to attend his seminars. McDonald Marketing’s Director of Strategic Planning, Liliana Ramirez held an intriguing session unveiling APRO’s nation-wide research on how to effectively market to the Hispanic market. ORDA’s President, Mike Tissot held a passionate session exploring the concept of attracting and retaining both customers and staff that left rental professionals ready to craft their own store message and increase their customer base by days end and so many more!

Fuse 2016: APRO’s National RTO Convention & Trade Show’s came to an end with the RTO Education Day’s closing session special guest, Anthony Muñoz. Fuse attendees reconvened in the ballroom and cheered on the Cincinnati sports icon as he took the stage and inspired all with his life story.
