APRO Webinar | Employment Guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor

Hear directly from Brenda Hernandez, a Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist with the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor, about frequently asked compliance questions and misconceptions about policies and enforcement. Topics will include:

  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) – topics such as overtime, minimum wage, youth employment, and recordkeeping
  • Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

As a former investigator and trainer for the Department of Labor, Hernandez has expertise in providing compliance assistance for both employers and employees.

Afterwards, Shareholder at Cowles & Thompson Brian Farrington will provide a Q&A session to answer your employment law questions. Farrington brings experience representing rent-to-own management during employment investigations, and some of his principal practice areas include Equal Employment Opportunity laws, OSHA 11(c), and state wage payment laws.
