Rent-A-Center Franchising International, Inc. (RACFI), the nation’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, is hosting its annual Summer Retreat
June 22-26 at the Marina Inn at Grand Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C., giving franchisees, corporate personnel and vendor partners a chance to relax, reconnect and get busy planning key initiatives for the rest of the year.
Opening day events Wednesday included a meeting of RAC’s Franchise Advisory Council, whose members are elected by their peers; a Vendor Appreciation Reception at the resort’s award-winning Waterscapes Restaurant; and a Welcome Dinner sponsored by Whirlpool® and held on the resort’s Grande Lawn.
At today’s General Session, corporate personnel will update franchisees on operational topics, marketing and advertising, purchasing and franchise development. An exciting buying show featuring great deals from vendors in attendance will highlight the afternoon. Then a special off-site dinner will honor Eagle Club members who have achieved the RACFI’s prestigious “Franchisee of the Year” award.
“I always look forward to the Summer Retreat as an opportunity to catch up with our suppliers, franchisees and their families,” says RACFI Senior Vice President Cathy Skula. “This year, I am especially excited about celebrating success stories we have already seen in 2016 among our franchisees, as well as updating them on what we are doing at the corporate office to help support them in their businesses.”
Tomorrow’s itinerary will include the 8th Annual Willie Talley Circle of Excellence Golf Classic at the Grand Dunes Golf Course, along with a family-friendly “Under the Sea” Adventure excursion to Ripley’s Aquarium.
Following a free day at the beach or the Boardwalk, the Retreat will conclude Saturday night with a Farewell Dinner sponsored by Ashley Furniture® that includes live music and dancing at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club.
