Showplace Rent to Own Sets Grand Opening in Tiffin, OH

Former APRO Past President and owner of Showplace Rent to Own Gary Ferriman will host a grand opening party for his newest store on Friday, July 14th in Tiffin, OH. The Tiffin store marks Ferriman’s 14th Showplace Rent to Own and is located at 2205 W. Market St. Showplace Rent to Own operates stores in Ashland, Bellefontaine, Bucyrus, Columbus, Delaware, Findlay, Galion, Kenton, Mansfield, Marion, Marysville, Mt. Gilead, and Springfield OH. Showplace is planning a fun filled day of food, door prizes, giveaways. Local radio station 103.7 WCKY is said to be on site for the grand opening as well. Door prizes include an LG 49″ TV, Dunkin Donuts gift cards, Bob Evans gift cards, a stereo and a Sherwin Williams bucket including a t-shirt, paint brush and rollers. Giveaways include miscellaneous items such as Wendy’s gift cards, bottle openers, sunglasses and ice scrapers.

“In 2003, we traded our Tiffin Store in a deal with Aaron’s. They subsequently left the market. We have always liked the way Tiffin fits with our style of RTO,” shared Ferriman.

Another Showplace Rent to Own is set to open in Upper Sandusky, OH in August.

Mike Tissot

Mike grew up in the rent-to-own industry under the guidance of his father, former APRO President and RTO legend Darrell Tissot. For nearly 25 years, Mike’s innovative leadership has helped expand the family business to more than 40 stores across Ohio and Kentucky while also shaping the industry as a whole.

He has served as President of the Ohio Rental Dealers Association, an APRO board member and Treasurer, and President and Treasurer of the TRIB Group. His contributions have earned him the APRO President’s Award of Excellence and the title of APRO Rental Dealer of the Year.

Outside of RTO, Mike enjoys time at the lake house or in Orange Beach, Alabama, with his girlfriend, Angela Strong McCool. A passionate Cincinnati Reds fan, he rarely misses a game, whether watching or listening alongside his parents. He also takes every opportunity to visit Arizona, where his daughter is currently attending Arizona State University.
