Nationwide Marketing sets agenda for Nashville event

The Nationwide Marketing Group is heading to Nashville in just a few weeks for the group’s PrimeTime show, which will be held at the Gaylord Opryland. The group’s theme “We Are Nationwide” celebrates its roster of 3,500-plus independents and the many years they have served their local marketplaces. Nationwide Furniture is creating a schedule of events designed to help members capture share in their marketplace. The group is putting a new spin on the “Millions in Minutes” auction and rolling out a new event called “Beat the Clock.” Attendees will be invited to join the Nationwide Furniture team and many vendors from 3-6 p.m. on Aug. 15 for the opportunity to buy products at unmatched prices. These are deals only available to Nationwide retailers until the “clock is up” at 6 p.m. The Prepare for Share (PFS) module this year will feature more furniture and bedding offers than ever before. Some of these offers will only be available until the end of PrimeTime, others until the end of the year, but retailers must attend PrimeTime to get these exclusive deals, including additional CashBack offers in the furniture category. The Nationwide Furniture Team will also introduce a new vendor, Malouf, a producer of personalized, luxurious sleep solutions. The marketing group also is continuing to expand its Learning Academy, with a variety of scheduling options and topics. Furniture and bedding vendors will be presenting during several of these courses for the first time, discussing products, marketing strategies and the overall industry trends. Furniture retailers also will have the option to attend the Furniture and Bedding Town Hall, where leading furniture and bedding manufacturers will discuss various topics and challenges independent retailers face. The Town Hall will be moderated by industry icon, Jerry Epperson. Finally, Whirlpool will sponsor the group’s NeXt Gen event Aug. 15 from 8:30-10:30 p.m. at Fuse Sports Bar at the convention center. In addition to the networking event, all NeXt Gen participants are encouraged to attend the Succession Planning 101 course, a panel discussion offered from the Nationwide Learning Academy curriculum.
