APRO's 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award August 5, 2010
This Rent to Own Video brought to you by APRO's RTOHQ.org

Kevin Quinn, owner of Tacoma-based Quality Rentals Wednesday, was named APRO's 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award Winner at the association's annual awards banquet at the Marriot Hotel in downtown Louisville.

The awards banquet was the final social event of the APRO 2010 Convention and Trade Show.

Known as "The General", due to his fearless leadership as APRO's President during one of the most tumultuous times in RTO's history, Quinn earned his stripes facing down a dual pronged attack on the rent-to-own industry from Congress and the IRS in the mid-1990's.

"Investigative hearings by Henry B. Gonzalez, the IRS trying to re-characterize our transaction as a sale and bad press, this president dealt with it from all sides," said outgoing APRO President "Tiger" John Cleek. "He stepped up to the plate and has been an adviser and confidant to every APRO leader since then."

Quinn is the only person to be elected president of the APRO board in his first year on the board of directors.
