RTO industry pros head to DC

Rent to own industry professionals from across the country are making their way to APRO’s 2010 Dave Egan Legislative Conference today at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. to  kickoff the industry’s legislative event of the year.

More than 100 rent to own dealers, employees and vendors are on hand for legislative updates and grassroots training this afternoon that will help them put a personal face on the industry when they participate in dozens of meetings with their elected officials over the following days.

This session, the industry backed Consumer Rental Purchase Agreement Act — H.R. 1744 — reached a record 113 co-sponsors in the U.S. House and the Senate version of the bill — S. 738 — currently has 15 co-sponsors.
