James Stephens is a new LRDA member and first time attendee at the association's annual meeting in Marksville, Louisiana April 22-23. Stephens is a new ColorTyme franchisee with a store in Shreveport.

In this exclusive APRO podcast, Stephens reflects on the plight of the independent rent-to-own dealer and the importance of getting involved in his state association.

"I think it's very important independent owners get together and establish a strong presence in the state in case things do pop up," Stephens says."We currently have friendly legislation, but losing that is only one bill away."
