NEW PODCAST: Beth Durrett, CFO Bestway Rent-To-Own

Beth Durrett is the chief financial officer for Bestway Rent-To-Own.

In her 30 years with the company -- dating back to its pre-RTO well-servicing days -- Durrett has lived the Bestway philosophy of putting employees first. New hires at Bestway are likely to hear from her with "welcome aboard" cards followed by a personal phone call followed by birthday and anniversary cards.

"We've got probably 11 people at the corporate office with a combined tenure of 95 years with the company We are very people oriented, because people are the most important asset we have. We know our role at corporate. It's caring about our people and providing them with the tools to be successful. Nobody's going to walk through the Coit Road (corporate headquarters) door to make a payment. Our stores are the ones on the front lines in front of the customers and we wouldn't be here if it weren't for them."

Durrett spoke with RTO Today Online from Bestway's annual managers meeting at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort in Destin, Florida.

"We work together as a team and it's fun to celebrate as a team," Durrett said.
