TRIB Group convention closes as a record event

The 2011 TRIB Group Annual Convention & Buy Fair that concluded last week, was a record breaker. Seventy percent of the entire TRIB Group membership had at least one company representative in attendance.

The 106 member companies represented 3,300 store fronts from 37 states and 2 Caribbean islands.

Of the multiple millions of dollars of purchase orders written during the HOTSHOW and the buy fair, ten purchase orders were randomly selected to share in a $20,000 grand prize pot. These winners were:

On the final night of the convention, TRIB Group treated the attending members and vendors to a closing celebration at the Fantasy of Flight Museum for dinner and entertainment. During the final convention awards presentation, Board of Director President Lyn Leach presented Virginia-based TRIB Group member Richard (Dick) Eichlin of Shenandoah TV & Appliance with the prestigious Norman W. “Slats” Slatton Sr. President’s Award for his significant contributions to TRIB Group and the rental industry.

The annual convention was held at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, Florida from February 20-22, 2010.

The 2012 event will take place at the same hotel/venue on February 26-29.

The Rental Industry Buying Group (TRIB Group) was established in 1983 and is currently the largest owner/member buying cooperative in the nation specifically for the RTO industry.  TRIB Group’s membership is currently 156 member companies representing over 3,000 storefronts nationwide and is proud to be a strategic alliance partner with AVB/Brand Source.
