Rent-to-own News - The Premier Companies head to Texas

August 15, 2011

The Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas will be home to Rent to Own industry business owners this week. The Premier Companies’ Dealer Retreat will be conducted prior to Nationwide’s PrimeTime! Buying Show.

This year’s retreat theme will be “Partners in Profitability”.

“Our Dealer Retreat provides an opportunity for our dealers to come together with an educational program in place where they will be provided knowledge and proven strategies to improve their business," says Premier President & CEO, Trooper Earle. "We will focus on areas that, if done correctly, will lead to a profitable business. We view ourselves as true partners with our dealers. We will continue to be committed to assisting our dealers in all ways possible to enhance their success.”

The Premier Companies is excited to hold an Open House at the Gaylord on Friday, August 19th, for interested franchise prospects to come and learn about the four Premier Companies’ brands.  The agenda includes sharing information on each of the Premier Companies’ brands: Premier Rental Purchase, Premier Home Furnishings, Premier Wheel Workz, and Premier Auto by Rent and the many benefits of becoming a Premier franchisee.

The Annual Dealer Retreat begins on the evening of the 19th and continues through Sunday.  The Premier Companies is proud to announce that dealer attendance for this Retreat is at an all time high!  Dealers are excited to come and learn from the terrific breakout session lineup hosted by Premier Executives and franchisee leaders, not to mention enjoying the fabulous food and surroundings at the Gaylord.

The Premier Companies takes pride in its extensive, ongoing training and support that it offers dealers.

The Premier Dealer Retreat is being held two days prior to Nationwide’s RentDirect Buying Show. This will provide our dealers the convenience of participating in both events.

“The Nationwide Buying Show provides our dealers the opportunity to meet one-on-one with leading product and support vendors," said John Darden, Premiers, Franchise/Vendor Liaison. "It also makes it possible for our dealers, who are members of the Nationwide Buying Group and the Premier Purchasing Co-Op, to take advantage of the shows discounts, rebates and cash backs. This is a must buying show for all who can attend.”

by Neil Ferguson

Here’s the lowdown on APRO’s 2012 Convention and Trade Show, July 24-26 in Memphis. The RTO industry’s big event will offer many valuable experiences, including insights on how to turn your stores into “experiences”–the good kind for consumers

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
