State RTO Associations - State Rent-to-Own Association Resources
Now, state associations are even more important in protecting and promoting a safe, legal environment for rent-to-own businesses to continue to thrive. Every year, more than 25 bills are introduced in state legislatures throughout the country directly affecting the rent-to-own industry and the majority of the bills are negative, requiring a strong state association to defend and educate its legislators on the benefits of rent-to-own.
State associations offer great opportunities to network with your neighboring rent-to-own dealers and his/her employees. Many state associations hold meetings throughout the year, addressing current RTO industry issues through valuable seminars and speakers, designed to educate both owners and employees.
Contact your state association president and/or check the calendar to find out if your state is holding an upcoming meeting. For more information on state associations, please contact Jeannie Hutchison at 800/204-2776, ext. 108.
Start a state association APRO is happy to help you organize your state association.
Bookkeeping services APRO can provide state associations full bookkeeping services, including dues billings and bill payment.
Meeting planning APRO can help with state association meeting planning by developing brochures, finding speakers and/or setting up meetings.
Got news? If your state association has an upcoming event, is about to or has done something newsworthy or is planning a membership meeting, please notify APRO so that it can publish your news and information on its Web site and in the association's magazine, RTOHQ: The Magazine.
For more information on any of these resources, contact Jeannie Hutchisonby email or by calling 800/204-2776, ext. 108.
