RNR Custom Wheels and Tires Wednesday night celebrated the best of the best, honoring 22 managers for leading their stores to one million in store revenue in 2008.

RNR now holds the key to 67 total stores -- 59 franchise stores and eight corporate -- and the company recently leap-frogged in Entrepreneur Magazine's 2008 Top Franchise 500 listing -- moving from 426 in 2007 to 252 last year.

This year RNR's top prize, the Mike Kent Sr. Pioneer Award went to Darren Salmone, manager of the Baton Rouge RNR for Fairway Ventures.

Salmone was also the top grossing member of the 2008 million dollar club, though it was his first year in business.

The Mike Kent Sr. Award is given each year to someone who shows great promise and delivers above and beyond what was expected of them. The award is named after Mike Kent Sr. who was an integral part in founding the RTO industry back in the days of Ernie Tally.
