Rent-to-own News - RimTyme teams with major league soccer event for rim and tire display

June 9, 2010

Soccer fans enjoyed a day of food, fun and games with a look at custom wheels Saturday in Frisco, Texas. Parked on location, RimTyme showed off rims and tires at MLS Futbolito, an all-day soccer competition.

Futbolito is the largest touring Hispanic event hosted by a U.S. professional sports league. Held at Pizza Hut Park for the third stop on the nation-wide tour, the event featured four-on-four public tournament games and apperances by famous MLS players.

“Futbolito is a highly anticipated event every year, and we were glad to be a part of it,” said David Dockery, local RimTyme store manager. “It was fun to see people of all ages pick up their cleats and play. Connecting with the community and joining the excitement of thousands of sports fans is a unique experience Futbolito provides.”

RimTyme, located at 2501 Avenue K in Plano, Texas, will return to Pizza Hut Park to attend the FC Dallas versus Kansas City Wizards game Saturday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m.

“We’ll have a booth inside the stadium at the next FC Dallas game with our latest custom wheels and tires” said Dockery. “We invite everyone to come out and see how RimTyme offers a no-obligation and credit-free way to ride in style.”

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
