Members Only: APRO 2009 Customer Satisfaction Survey released

APRO's 2009 Customer Satisfaction Survey -- an invaluable customer service, marketing and advertising guidepost -- will be delivered today electronically to APRO members only.

This twice a decade study was conducted by leading rent-to-own customer satisfaction expert Britt Beemer of America's Research Group. America's Research Group is one of the premiere household consumer research companies in the country.

Beemer has studied rent-to-own customer satisfaction since 1994. APRO commissions his research every five years.

The APRO Customer Satisfaction Survey is the benchmark of what rent-to-own companies are doing well in customer service and what needs improvement. The research is indispensable regarding how and what to market, advertise and how to keep customers satisfied and coming back.

If you are an APRO member and would like a professionally bound volume of the entire data sets and research cross tabulations, contact APRO Membership Director Laurie Hill at LHill@RTOHQ.org. The cost for these bound sets is $125 and the deadline for ordering bound editions is November 20.

The research is available to APRO members only and is of the quality small RTO dealers could not afford by themselves.

To receive the customer satisfaction survey along with the other countless benefits APRO membership affords, become a member of the APRO family today. Contact Laurie Hill at  LHill@RTOHQ.org or 800/204-2776 ext. 103.

Questions regarding the survey itself should be directed to Richard May at RMay@RTOHQ.org or 800/204-2776 ext. 104.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
