Industry presents checks to Reyna family

L to R: John Spangle, Rent-n-Roll franchisee and employer of Carlos Reyna with Kamilla, Rosie and Karla Reyna, Robert Reed, Gulf Freeway RNR manager, Braxton Spangle, RNR operations manager and Matthew Wilt RNR regional manager at a commemorative check presentation to the Carlos Reyna family Wednesday in Houston.

Representatives from the rent to own industry Wednesday, presented checks to the Carlos Reyna family at the Gulf Freeway Rent-n-Roll in Houston to assist with the ongoing healthcare needs faced by the family.

Late last year Reyna -- a Rent-n-Roll manager who worked at the Gulf Freeway store -- suffered two heart attacks and a stroke and recently emerged from a coma last month. Read full story here.

John Spangle -- a Rent-n-Roll franchisee who owns the store where Reyna worked -- presented a check for $13,697 to Carlos' wife, Rosa, and his two daughters Kamilla and Karla. The money was raised industry wide and through the Rent-n-Roll network and coordinated by Rent-n-Roll President Larry Sutton.

APRO also presented a check for $2,500 through its fundraising efforts and close to $1,000 was raised through both Spangle's Rent-n-Roll and Partners stores.

As Reyna will continue to face ongoing rehabilitative and other health costs, donors are encouraged to make contributions.

For those interested, make checks payable to Sovoni, Inc. -- a temporary fund set up for the drive -- and write Carlos Reyna Fund in the memo.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
