Reps. Akin and Graves sign on as co-sponsors

Missouri Congressmen Todd Akin and Sam Graves are the latest two lawmakers to co-sponsor H.R. 1767 - the Consumer Rental-Purchase Agreement Act.

According to the most recent update to the Congressional Record February 14, House co-sponsors for H.R. 1767 now total 64 and the two recent additions are the first results from APRO's three-day Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C.

More than 125 rent-to-own delegates rallied in  Washington, D.C. February 11-13 to advocate on behalf of the rent-to-own industry, H.R. 1767 and its companion bill in the Senate S. 1012.

Missouri representation for H.R. 1767 now totals seven Congress members including lead sponsor William Lacy Clay from St. Louis.

APRO will continue to monitor bill sponsorship in the Congressional Record and update APRO members as the industry activism over the past week continues to generate support for this important legislation.
