Rent-to-own News - DAC Products declares APRO Show huge success

September 16, 2009

DAC Products, maker of electronics merchandising displays exhibited at the recent APRO Show in Las Vegas and announced that they were very pleased with the results.

“We were hopeful that we could meet or exceed last year’s sales, which were good," said Todd Woods, vice president of sales and marketing. "But we were just blown away with the 100 percent increase we experienced. There was a real sense of excitement with all of the RTO customers regarding the new products DAC had designed specifically for them."

DAC was also very gratified at some of the unsolicited comments that were offered by customers visiting the show booth.

Simon Holmes with Simply Living said, “I am not one to give unsolicited testimonials but I have to say that DAC Products has given us great service. The product has been on time and damage free. We deal with a lot of vendors in this business and I have to say you guys are one of the best to deal with.”

Those comments were echoed by Bill Kelly of New Avenues.

“I have been working with you for two years and I have to say you have been a rock solid vendor," Kelly said. "You have a great product with excellent customer service.”

Chris Hodges, DAC’s Business Development Manager said the comments let his company know it is doing its job right.

"If you continue to come up with new product ideas that help your customers sell their wares, sell it for a fair price, and ship it on time, you’ve pretty much got it licked," Hodges said.

DAC will be showing at the Midwest RTO Training Expo in Columbus, Ohio at the end of September and hopes to continue to cultivate the great relationships they have made thus far in the RTO industry.  Hodges stated “We’re really happy with our decision to focus on the Rent to Own business.  Not only has it been a great strategic business decision for us but we have really made some great friends.  Folks in this industry are just great people.”

DAC manufactures their designs in two facilities totaling over 200,000 square feet in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina and ships products throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.  They offer a one stop shop to the RTO industry for complete store merchandising fixtures including Audio Visual Walls, Computer and Gaming Displays, Point of Sale Counters, Security Tools, Accessories, and Graphics.

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
