Rent-to-own News - Baber's Q4 managers meeting a success

November 5, 2010

Ashley Furniture Vendor Gary Jones teaches Baber’s manager Mike Lepre how remove the sofa rails for an easy move.

Mississippi-based RTO indie, Baber's, gathered together district managers and the rest of the company's management team at Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis, Miss. this week for its annual fourth quarter meeting. With the help of many RTO vendors the meeting was a huge success.

Baber's President Shannon Strunk and CEO Cynthia Baber-Strunk gave their managers the opportunity Wednesday, to walk the showroom, meet with vendors and, for the first time, actually purchase product for their store.

“We did this to introduce new products, educate our managers on the products and motivate them to grow and improve their stores” Baber-Strunk said.

After breakfast on Thurs. Oct. 27, the meeting closed with a motivational refresher training session on company procedure. Baber's managers were ready to work and "Provide Legendary Service."

"Our managers seemed to really enjoy and work hard at making smart purchasing decisions," Strunk said.  "We were very impressed with their research and the interaction they had with the vendors."

The management team left committing to the best fourth quarter growth the company has ever achieved.

Babers is a 53-store independent rent to own company with stores in Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III
