Rent-to-own News - Razor, Imagery rack up RAE awards

The winners of the 2011 Rental Advertising Excellence Awards are in and recognize 35 outstanding industry entries across 15 categories from direct marketing campaigns to television and radio spots.

Razor Marketing, which produces ads for Rent-A-Center, took home the highest number of RAE awards with 11 overall, including eight gold awards.

St. Louis-based Imagery Marketing Group took home eight RAE Awards, including two gold for ads produced for a broad range of independent rent to own companies.

Tops for the direct marketing category went to Countryside Rentals for material produced by Central File Marketing. Castle Rentals took home silver in this category for a spot also produced by Central File. Bronze in this category went to a Rent One spot produced by Imagery.

For television -- the number one shaper of rent to own's public image -- categories are divided between spots costing less than $1,000 and those costing more than $1,000.

In the less than $1,000 category, Buddy's Home Furnishings took home the gold for a spot produced by Red Letter Studios followed by silver and bronze winner Rent One for  Imagery produced spots.

In the more than $1,000 category, Rent-A-Center/Razor took home gold and silver with Countryside Rentals taking bronze for a DBD Communications produced spot.
