Rent-to-own News - Nalley Truck Among Sponsors for The Premier Companies 2011 Convention

January 3, 2011

Sponsors like Michelle Dunning of Nalley Truck, are signing up in record numbers to participate at the annual convention of The Premier Companies Jan. 17 -19 at The Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, Arizona.

A longtime supporter of Premier, Dunning has been to every Premier dealer gathering since the organization started.

“I have watched this company grow each year, not only in numbers of franchisees, but also in the commitment and services it provides its dealers. Naturally I’m biased, but an important piece to the convention is the networking it allows dealers to have with quality vendors who they can get to know personally. Having that personal connection through sharing at a Premier event creates a partnership between dealer and vendor that supports success for both of us.”

Dunning goes on to say that Premier conventions are not to be missed.

“There is always a surprise – something over the top – that creates a memorable experience.”

Premier is also using a real-time text messaging system that will remind attendees of key agenda items and breakout sessions during the event.

Premier Franchise/Vendor Liaison John Darden said Premier's success was a result of a symbiotic relationship with vendors like Nalley Truck.

“We are very grateful for the record number of vendors who have agreed to support our 2011 National Convention, and especially for those like Michelle, who saw from the start what we were capable of doing and have walked with us along the way.”

For the past 15 years Dunning has been providing vehicles to dealers throughout the country,   joining Nalley Motor Trucks as a Sales Professional in Atlanta in June of 2008.

“Michelle’s reputation for excellence and her commitment to supporting the needs of small business owners as they get their start and grow in the RTO industry are reflected in Nalley's mission to be an innovative industry leader committed to customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, integrity and teamwork,” says Darden. “Vendors like this – and there are many in our network – have made such a difference in our ability to offer quality connections to our dealers. We look forward to showing our appreciation to them in Arizona.”

A New Rent-to-Own Experience

by Neil Ferguson

Here’s the lowdown on APRO’s 2012 Convention and Trade Show, July 24-26 in Memphis. The RTO industry’s big event will offer many valuable experiences, including insights on how to turn your stores into “experiences”–the good kind for consumers

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
