Rent-to-own News - Twin Falls ColorTyme re-opens

December 2, 2010

The neighborhood rent-to-own store once familiar to residents is back in business in Twin Falls, Idaho. ColorTyme recently returned to the community after closing in 2005.

Franchise Owner Jennifer Corrao promises to build on ColorTyme’s strong legacy  giving customers an even better in-store experience and, as always, a knowledgeable sales team ready to assist.

"We’re so happy to be back in Twin Falls, and I’m looking forward to making ColorTyme better than ever with a larger selection of products at the very best prices,” she said. “We have several members of our former staff back and prepared to continue the high level of service that makes our store unique.”

ColorTyme offers new, name-brand rent-to-own merchandise including a vast mix of furniture, appliances and electronics. The store -- the only one in Twin Falls -- is ColorTyme's 195th.

To welcome new and previous customers and introduce the re-opened store, ColorTyme will host its first Customer Appreciation Day on Dec. 4.

“We are thrilled at the opportunity to build stronger connections with past customers and get to know some new faces in the store,” said Barry Vaughan, ColorTyme store manager. “Our goal is to become the first stop for rent-to-own in Twin Falls.”

ColorTyme is located at 228 Blue Lakes Blvd. North #1.

ColorTyme, Inc., founded in 1979, is America’s oldest franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores. ColorTyme franchisees operate 195 rent-to-own stores in 33 states, and the company’s custom-wheels-and-tires franchise brand, RimTyme, operates 20 stores in 11 states. ColorTyme is headquartered in Plano, Texas, and is an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of the largest RTO company in the world, Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII).

Who Is Your Competition?

by Bill Keese

In order to expand your customer base, you can learn a lot by observing your competitors. But first, you need to figure out just who they are. If you think your only competition is the rent-to-own store down the street, you’re not considering the bigger picture. APRO’s executive director offers a big-picture perspective.

A Review of Online Customer Complaints

by Ed Winn III

While rent-to-own companies have not cornered the market on negative reviews posted on consumer complaint websites, it’s no surprise that there are cyberspace beefs against RTO. APRO’s general counsel reviews some of them in search of a pattern and he considers appropriate response to online complaints.
