Eric McCartney is new Vice President of Fleet Management:

Rent-A-Center today announced the appointment of Eric McCartney to vice president of fleet management. Reporting to Dave West, executive vice president of operational services, McCartney is charged with developing and implementing the strategy for design requirements, replacing and reselling, fleet maintenance and fuel programs for Rent-A-Center's fleet of vehicles.

"Eric has done an exceptional job managing a fleet of more than 6,400 vehicles that support our store and product-service operations," said West.

A native of Plano, Texas, McCartney began his career with Rent-A-Center in January 1997 in store operations. In January 1999, McCartney moved to Rent-A-Center's corporate headquarters as fleet manager. In 2007 he was promoted to director of fleet.

John Butler is new Vice President of Inventory Management

Reporting to Dave West, executive vice president of operational services, Butler is charged with the procurement and placement of all store rental products. He is responsible for ensuring the right product is directed to the right store at the right time. "John brings a wealth of experience to a very important position," said West. "We're looking forward to utilizing his expertise."

Most recently, Butler was a senior vice president at Blockbuster where he held a variety of key positions during his 10-year tenure. Before joining Blockbuster, Butler worked for Trans World Entertainment, a retail music- and video-store chain. There, he led the company's merchandise-replenishment and reverse-logistics initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Butler served as the head of inventory control for Toys "R" Us, Canada, the retailer's first international market.
